Then a freshman in high school, Tim joined the band with Chewie and Darrell in 1985 as a guitar player. It wasn’t long, however, until he was singing tenor, and singing it well. Former band mate Brian Kuhl was often heard to exclaim, “He can harmonize with anything!” and he just may be right. Since those early days, Tim has established himself as one of the premier harmony singers in gospel music. Though the tenor vocal is his part of choice, he occasionally ventures into baritone and lead vocals. With Danny not always available to perform live with the group, Tim has also assumed duties as bass player for the band.
“I love harmony,” Tim says. “I can't imagine singing
it with anyone else, and it’s all for the Lord.”
